On a beaucoup d’oiseaux qui viennent nous rendre visite tous les jours. C’est vraiment chouette d’avoir autant de variétés! Beaucoup de mes amis japonais se demandaient ce que c’était que ce petit boule de cône de pin. Pour moi aussi c’est la première fois que je fais ça – je ne sais pas pourquoi, en Autriche ça existait mais il y avait beaucoup de maisons autour qui alimentaient déjà les oiseaux… C’était peut-être la raison que les petits oiseaux autrichiens nous ont totalement ignorés, à part quelques exceptions qui nous rendaient visite très occasionnellement (Tant pis pour eux, hehe !) 
Noël et Nouvel An, les humains ont l’air de déguster aux bons petits plats… alors pourquoi ne pas offrir aux oiseaux quelque chose de sympa pour leur fête à eux aussi?

Lots of wild birds are coming now everyday to feed themselves on our bird-feeders. With the rough weather these days, these seeds I put on tend to blow off if they are not quick enough to come… and big fat blackbird and wagtails are munching really a lot. But this fresh pine-cone filled with seeds-fat mix seems to suit all of them. I always see everybody going on it. That was my present for them for Christmas time. So nice and peaceful to see them everyday this way…  And for me I could buy some tofu-asian veggies and japanese sake to cook with for New Year.

12月27日は、ラウンドウッドの村でチャリティーのウオーキングがあるはずだったのだけど、すごい悪天候　強風と雨降りで中止になってしまいました。ちょうどsachanも少し体調が悪かったので、出かけずに家でおとなしくしていました。やっぱり、この時期になると、雪こそまだ降っていませんが、けっこう寒くて雨や強風が多いです。
家にふたつある鳥さんの餌台のうちのひとつは、固定していないものなので、強風のときは吹き飛ばされて倒れていたりします。雨の降ってないときも、風が強いと餌のタネが飛ばされてしまったりもするのだけど、いっしょうけんめい新鮮な乾いた餌を補給してると、鳥さんたちが盛んに食べに来ていて、とてもおもしろい。
このごろは、ヨーロッパコマドリのロビンちゃんたちも毎日何度も繰り返しやって来るし、アオガラちゃんも常連さん。それからセキレイのわぐちゃんたちも、最近は堂々とロビンちゃんたちの餌をいっしょに食べています。身体も大きいし食いしん坊だから、食べるのが早い！
そればかりか、図体のでっかいクロウタドリまでやってきて、ぱくぱく食べてる。こんなに喜んで食べてくれるので、餌のやりがいがあるというものです。クリスマスやお正月は、人間さまだってごちそうを食べるのだから、鳥さんたちにもごちそうをあげなくちゃね。そういうわけで、新しい松ぼっくりの餌の丸いのを買ってきて、ぶらさげてあげました。
