Will be leaving to Japan on Monday and I will be missing this calm, peaceful, nice landscape and my life here.

This is an Irish round tower, peculiar to Ireland. Exclusively built within a monastery complex, their purpose is not fully understood. It is thought they were built as a refuge from Viking marauders: the entrance door is 3 or 4 meters above ground level. They might have been used as bell towers, where a bell would have been rung by hand and they may have served as a look-out, again watching for Vikings on the prowl. Their date of construction is also uncertain. It is thought they were built in the 11th or 12th centuries, but they could be as old as the 9th century. There are maybe a dozen of them around Ireland and the Glendalough one is a fine example. Incidentally, they stand about 80ft (25 meters) tall.

３週間留守にするので、なんだか名残惜しい秋の景色でした。
帰ってくるころは、ずいぶん違う様子になっているのかな？

川のせせらぎなど聴き・・・素敵なところですね～♪♪♪
ほーんとに、ここの場所は、谷なんだけど「パワースポット」って感じで、空気が澄んでいて、散歩に行くたび「命の洗濯」ですよん。
写真で見ると、ちょっと「じめじめ」してるみたいに見えるけど、実際にはそうでもなくて、いかにも元気な木々が、昔からずっと時間の移り変わるのを見ていたんだなーと感じます。
金曜日、散歩しながら さっちゃんが「あーこの木々が名残惜しいな〜 ３週間は来られないからね」と言ってたら、いっしょに歩いてた友だちが 「だって、待っててくれるから大丈夫だよ」って。:)
たしかに、そうだわね。
なんだか、とってもうれしいです。
