Quite sunshiny day today but still a bit cold…
Something really lovely here in Tokyo is that you get at least this sunshine.
Outside my bed room, when I open the window, I can see a very big tree with pleinty white flower.
This is one of the first trees in our garden to give some flowers each spring time.
Prune flowers were over but I could see these ones and I am so glad about it!
And I went to see Françoise my friend who lives very near in the same area. In her garden, there were lots of cats wondering around and having a long afternoon ‘siesta’.  Good idea!!

C’était une journée très printanière avec beaucoup de lumière dans le jardin dès le matin, mais l’air était encore très froid. Je me demande si je vais vraiment avoir les cerisiers en fleurs pendant mon séjour à Tokyo…
Ce très grand arbre se trouve juste à côté de ma chambre et je le vois tout de suite en ouvrant ma fenêtre tous les matins. C’est un des premiers arbres dans notre jardin à fleurir chaque année, depuis mon enfance.
Les pruniers étaient déjà finis quand je suis arrivée, mais je n’avais pas imaginé que je verrais ce coup-ci ces très belles fleurs couleur crème qui me sont si chères et j’en suis très contente.
Je suis passée chez Françoise cet après-midi. Dans son jardin,  les chats profitaient du soleil si agréable…. La grande sieste??? …. Excellente idée!!

今日はきれいに晴れ上がった春らしい一日でした。でも外へ出ると空気はまだまだ冷たい。

朝　二階の窓を開けると目の前にあるのが、この「ハクレン」の木です。要するに「木蓮」なんだけど白い色。「辛夷（こぶし）」じゃなくて「白蓮」なんだと子供のときから教えられました。物心ついたときには、もうこの場所に大きくそびえていたような気がします。毎年春になると最初に花をつけてくれる木で、花びらがみんな落ちてしまうと元気な緑色の分厚い葉っぱがいっぱい出てくるのも楽しみな、大好きな木なのです。
今年はこの花が見られるとは想像せずに戻ってきましたが、いっぱいに花が開いて終わりがかりになっているのやら、まだ丸くつぼみがついている枝など。
「お花見」のことを想像しながら戻った東京・・・でも、まだ桜には間がありそう。そのかわり、こんな早春らしい素敵な花が迎えてくれました。

午後は、近くにお住まいのFrançoiseさんのおうちへおじゃましました。ここのお庭は独特の侘びの風情。猫がたくさん遊びにきて、お気に入りの場所でヒナタボッコしたり昼寝したり。のんびりムードの午後でした。
