19 feb. Dublin Kimono team friends came up to Co Wicklow for a quick Kimono dressing exercise session.
This time Akiko san will dress me the way Emiko san was doing with her.
First time for me to get involved into the group for an event and so happy to make myself kind of ‘useful’ with this kimono my grand mother gave me as a gift dozens’ years ago.
She would be so happy to see it.

若いとき結婚祝いに祖母が買ってくれた着物
ずっと触れずにいたのを、ダブリンで着物のデモンストレーションのモデルをするときに着せてもらうことになりました！帯も祖母が使っていたものです。
sachanみたいな初心者が、モデルにしてもらうなんて冷や汗ものですが・・・大学同窓のご縁で少しでもお手伝いできればと。
２月１９日　Dublin Kimono teamのEmilyとAkikoさんがわざわざ来てくれて、いろいろ着物や帯を出して組み合わせを選びました。Aoiさんもお嬢ちゃんを連れて来てくれて「見学」。話がはずんで賑やかでした。
天国の祖母もきっと喜んでくれることでしょう。

1月末には、CarnewのAoiさんが日本文化と日本語を教えている中学校のクラスで、着物のデモンストレーションをしました。
26 Jan Kimono demonstration done in a secondary school in Carnew thanks to my friend Aoi san. Who could imagine one day I will be 1) in Ireland 2) able to dress in kimono myself to show … but also 3) dress one of the students, who looked happy… Actually I think people will be happier experiencing things themselves rather than just watching it. So… to be continued.
初めての経験でドキドキ。何度も時間を計りながら着る練習をしました。当日は、結局時間があったのでクラスの女の子に着せてあげたりもしてしまいました。
教室のあっちのほうにたまっているニキビ顔の男子たちが「テレビのタケシ城で着物見たことあるよ」と話してくれたり「着せてもらいたいひと」と言ったら迷わず「はあーーーい」と手をあげてくれた女子やいろいろ。授業の終わりににこにこ顔を見せてくれた中学生たち とても可愛くて面白かったです。
アイルランドで着物着て見せるなんて 想像もしていなかったぞう。
着せてあげるのはとても喜ばれるんだなーということもわかったりして、興味深い経験でした。
