A small visitor in Moneystown…
Johnny told me this is a ‘Willow warbler’.

Something a bit different… and I’ve spotted a Mistle Thrush again this morning, lots and lots of swallows and wag tails and blackbirds too
I thought this one looks a bit like Green Finch but when you compare on the photos they really are different.

Johnny’s commentary about the difference :

A bird’s bill is always a good clue to what they eat: warblers are insect eaters, hence a fine sharp bill, finches eat mostly seeds, hence a sturdy bill, etc.

La journée s’annonçait ensoleillée avec de belles couleurs roses à l’aube… mais dans la matinée il a commencé à pleuvoir.
Une journée de repos pour moi. Et là, j’ai remarqué ce petit joli visiteur sur mon balcon et réussi à le photographier.
Johnny mon meilleur ami de Breitenbrunn me dit que c’est ‘Willow warber’ (vous pouvez entendre son chant sur la page de la RSPB en cliquant ici) .
‘Pouillot fitis’ en français.
A la différence des pinsons des arbres ou des verdiers d’Europe, celui-ci a un bec pointu, adapté à attraper des insectes.

朝焼けが見られたと思ったら雨降り・・・と書いてるうちに薄日がさしてきました。
にわか雨のなか　ちょっとだけ来てくれた　かわいいお客さん。
ちびっこで可憐な感じの鳥です。このごろちょこちょこ目についていたのですが写真に撮れたのは初めてです。
またジョニーが教えてくれました。

‘Willow warbler’という鳥、ヨシキリの一種のようです。
イギリスやアイルランドでは、わりあいよく見られる鳥のようですが、今まであまり目にしたことがありませんでした。

このあいだうち来ていた、緑色のアオカワラヒワ　Green Finch に似ているかなと思ったのですが・・・　写真を見て比べてみると、明らかにクチバシのかたちが違うのがわかります。
