Found out ‘wild garlic’ on way back from Avondale House to Rathdrum and I am so happy about it !!!
Near the streem, there were a really big area covered by these.
Would be nice to come back next spring to get them.
I used to love to go and find them – Bärlauch – in the wood in Austria…

That was in the woodland behind the village and its vineyard.

Quelque chose que je dois mentionner avant de passer à la nouvelle grande série ‘Voyage à l’ouest’:  j’ai trouvé l’ail des ours ici!!!
Je me demandais si ça existe en Irelande, vues les conditions climatiques, je m’étais dit que ça devait exister, mais je n’en avais jamais vu jusque maintenant.
Donc l’autre jour en revenant de ‘Avondale House’, sur le chemin de retour dans le bois, le long du petit courant d’eau, il y avait toute une colonie de ces herbes à l’odeur de l’ail.
On n’a pas pu récolter comme il y avait des fleurs, mais c’est quelque chose que j’avais découvert en Autriche… pour la première fois en mars 2011
Et puis j’ai tellement bien aimé le goût que j’en ai ramassé encore pour cuisiner à l’asiatique… (on appelle ces herbes ‘Bärlauch’ en allemand)

Et puis j’avais été encore en chercher avec les chiens de ma copine Ingie… (je mets la photo)
Il me semble qu’ils poussent au même endroit que les fleurs de ‘bluebell’.
Alors je pourrai revenir au printemps prochain avec des sacs en platique! hehehe…

このあいだ「ジャングル探検散歩」の帰り道に、あのギョウジャニンニクの「そっくりさん」　=　熊韮を見つけましたよ！！
散歩の話とは別に、ちゃんと書いておかなくちゃ。
アイルランドは湿り気のある森の木陰がいっぱいあるから、どこかに熊韮がありそうなものだなあと、ずっと思っていたのだけど・・・これまで見たことがなかったのです。たぶんグレンダロッホのまわりは、かなり人の手の入った森だから生えてなかったんですね。
森の日陰の道をたどって戻ってくる途中、渓流沿いに一面に生えてました！！
白い花が咲いていたので、もう食べられる時期を過ぎてしまっていたけど。
どうもブルーベルの花と同じ場所に生えるものであるらしい。
場所がわかったので、来年はビニール袋持参で集めに来るぞう！！
